I import a set of points from a dwg file and want to connect them to a curve. But I found that they can't be selected in Studio Spline command.
It seems that only points created as features are selectable in Studio Spline.
Can anybody give some suggestion? Thanks a lot!

we bought NX11 bundle " NX mach 3 mold design -NX13200N " with mold wizard.
but we can't using Draft Analysis toolbar function.
when we'll access that toolbar have notice like below
so , is Draft analysis toolbar not include bundle license NX mach 3 mold design -NX13200N ?
our reseller said to us that's maybe BUG from NX 11.0.2.7 , that's why we i can't using that toolbar.
is this true answer?

im a bit desperated. In NX11 with TC 11.2 i wanted to replace a component below my drafting. i read a bit in the forum and found out something has changed, a lot of workarounds but none worked for me.
So i try to explain with the example i made here
No i want to replace the Component. So i selected the *160 3D modell Part an made right click, replace component.
I Browse for the New Component ( or opend it before and select it makes no difference) and select it
then i recive this massage all the time, even if i change any setting it makes no ******* difference
I dont know what i do wrong... Even the NX help does not provide me any solution.
Even if i do it in the modelling , drafting. if i made a new part, a saved as from the previous... evrytime the same .... even another revison is not working.
Any idea where i can learn this function... because in the past it worked fine. Never change a running system.

I have a query related to how revision rule impacts horizontal wave links.
Lets say we have Part 1 which has wave geometry from Part 2.
Part 1 and Part 2 are *NOT* in assembly/component heirarchy but horizontal piece parts.
Consider the following scenarios:
1) If the Revision rule is "Latest working", then the geometry from the latest working revision of Part 2 will show up when Part 1 is loaded.
2) If the Revision rule is "Latest Issued" then the geometry from the last issued rev of Part 2 will show up when Part 1 is loaded.
Is the above understanding correct?
Are there any vendors who can supply NX parts that have been qualified for routing?
We keep encountering issues that could be solved by using the routing module, (and we even have licenses for routing) but every time I say "someone has to create the qualified parts" interest in routing disappears.
The error mentioned above only takes place when starting NX out of the company using a VPN to access the license server (I can check the license using Licensing Tool).
Since I have installed NX 11 and the VPN utility (GlobalProtect VPN) I can no longer use NX out of the company.
At the company, connected to the local network I have no issue.
Can anyone point out a solution to this problem?

I'm new to NX and not understanding why sketches appear to have 2 names. There's the "Name" and the "Feature Name". Is there a purpose for that ? Every other feature appear to only have a "Feature Name".
Also the Name is always in ALL CAPS. I'm sure there's a clever explanation for this.

I'm trying to model an impeller but it's giving me an error which I can't seem to solve on my own. I've created a curve that represents the centre line of the impeller vane. The curve gets extruded untill extended (impeller hub / impeller cover plate) but I can't change the offset (thickness) of the vane. It'll give me an error that the trim data or type is not good.
I've tried all the different options but I'm stuck at this point. Any help or thoughts as to what might cause the error?
I started a discussion in the NX Design Forum yesterday and it is not showing up in the forum. When I go to "My Subscriptions", it shows up. However there are no views of the post, and when I go to the Design Forum, it is not listed.
Does anyone know what I am doing wrong?
Of course, if this post also doesn't appear, there will be no help.

Hi all,
I am wondering if a part, with a pattern with many repititions, a knurled handle e.g., will consume less processing power and memory when we add an extra feature which makes the pattern unvisible. Let's say we delete the chamfered faces or we extrude an extra cylinder so the pattern is not visible anymore.
WIll this load faster or are all the unvisible features nevertheless processed?

I need to copy and mirror a part to create a symmetrically opposite part. I would like the mirrored part to have its own history in part navigator - which is independent of the source part. I first create a copy of the source part and then have tried the following:
1. Extract Geometry with "Mirror Body" selected. This creates an opposite part but also leaves the source part, which I don't want. I can hide parents, but that still leaves me with 2 bodies, when I only want the mirrored one.
2. Mirror Geometry. Same problem as Extract Geometry (2 parts).
3. Transform with mirror. I get just one part but all of the part history is deleted.
4. I have considered Wave Geometry Linker, but I am pretty sure that will not be what I want because the mirrored part does not have a part navigator history that is independent of the source part..
I come from an I-deas background and would like to find something similar to the I-deas "Reflect" command with the "mirror only" option.

I´ve been using NX since two months ago and I´m accustomed with Solid Edge logic that part and drawings have different files. NX has two options to work, sepparate files such as Sold Edge and work with unique file. What is better practice to work?
For my internship project I install a update for Siemens NX 11, after the update I have lost my tool library. My internship supervisor is abroad for a project, so it is not possible to ask the webkey codes. Is ther a outher way I can download a new machinery tool library?

I'm trying to understand the exact mechanism of "Swept" command.
As shown in the figure, a short line is used as Section and the right green curve string is used as the Guide. All the other options are defaults.
But unexpectedly the resulting surface is not of the shape as the green curves. It seems to be difficult to understand.
Can anybody kindly give some clues? Thanks!

I'm trying to dimension 2D impeller vanes (arced vanes) in drafting area. I want to dimension the centre line of the vane, but in order to have a centre line, I need to activate the sketch in the view and use an offset sketch line to create a centre line.
Now when I've created the centre line and finish the sketch and then proceed to update the drawing sheet, the line is not a dashed line anymore. It turns into a solid line, which isn't wanted.
How do I prevent this from happening or is there an other way to achieve what I need?
Edit: Creating a 2D centre line does help, only I cannot select this centre line to create a centre mark. I need a visible centre mark
