i have a query regarding plotting a curve onto an uneven surface with uneven widhts from start to end and my question is there anyway to plot a curve exactly or almost equal to its center on the surface of the curve or ayother ways of doing it??

I just noticed that the "Section in View" command was hidden in my current set of tool bars, ie role. I could add it without issue, but I generally start my role creation with "advanced, all menues". So "Section in View" was either not included in the role I started with, OR it was hidden to get users using a new tool (based on past NX experience with things being hidden).
Is there a new and better tool, to select a component to be sectioned (or not sectioned) in a section view?
Selecting “Move Component ==> Transform=Dynamic ==>Triad origin (Move Handles=on)”; how could I/what is the easiest way to position it on a component’s WCS/CSYS origin point?
Hello dear colauges.greetings from bulgaria.today i had a very unusual question by my supervisor about a very spesific function that was used for many years in our company.it's the custom symbol for line break GAP25 and GAP125.unfortunately we have moved to NX10.and here the drafting settings for dimension line break a quite different.how ever my question is.Is there a way to break a dimention line when it intersekt with a dimention annotation from a nother dimention.i have a picture as a attachment.
dimentions are marked the orange dimention needs two brakes that are indicated.the yelow dimension annotation text overlaps the orange dimention line.
how can this spesific case be resolved.

As a new to NX, I have some questions to make some things clear to myself.
Please take a look at the attached video. Is it possible to close solid body by surfaces which are not previously trimmed or created by "fill" option or some other option using cylinder edges (cirlcles)?
I want to know is it possible to make solid body by surfaces when all of the selected surfaces (or planes) close an volume?

I am trying to wrap an rectangle (100mmx10mm) on toroidal surface but I would like to get the same length of the curves after wrapping.
What I have tried:
Do you have some other better way to get the results that I expecting?
Also, Is it somehow possible to set startpoint in Global Shaping function, but not as I have defined? (using formula to make deformed sheet symetric: Shift=CurveLength/2-RectangleLength/2)

I need to make a multi plane Section View so using this link https://solutions.industrysoftware.automation.siemens.com/view.php?sort=desc&q=section%20view%20legacy&dt=faq&file_type=html&i=001-7815058&k=0&o=0 I got to use the legacy Section View from PMI tab. It allows you to make a Section using curves, that would be the solution. The thing is that when I active the section view that I create with this command, the part remains sectioned and I cant turn it off. Is there a way to do this? Does it work like the Clip Section from the View tab?

Hi,
I have problem with the 'Transition' surface command.
I am trying to make a transition surface more or less following the blu wireframe curves (see below, image 1) , but apparently the command works only if the sections strings are not smooth curves or arcs.
When I try I get a strange wireframe, the bridge curves NX proposes for the transitions are not normal to the plane of the face edges (as I presumed they should be), and it is impossible to change the starting point of the sections (see image2 below) to better map the correspondence between points. I am doing something wrong?
I also attach a prt that reproduces the situation.

I stand before that well-known problem that I have to draw a fillet over the parting plane on a body with demolding draft, whereby this fillet should be perpendicular to the point where it intersects the parting plane. I don't want to enforce the exact course on the parting line just the angle.
Any help is greatly appreciated

this may be so simple its funny, but right now its not funny. Im in NX11 I have a limited modeling license. I cant use Realize Shape. ALso my modeling skills are weak sauce. Obviously. Ok, I am trying to make a 3D model of a smooth stone. I really want it to look organic. I have sketched a side view and top for a general shape. I have then extruded these sketches so there are 2 solids that intersect with each other. then split the bodies about each other and remove the outermost bodies. Then I and radius the left over edges. This method does not make it organic looking.
Could someone Make a video or direct me to a video that shows how to make organics shapes like a smooth stone without using Realize Shape? Only using the very basic tools. Thanks in advance!

I have made a lot of hoses in an assembly, 84 exactly, and the sales department needs a picture of the assembly.
Therefor, to my issue. When I zoom out I can see all the splines and the constaines in the fitting ports, I thinkt, since I can't see them when zoomed in.
I haven't had any luck with hiding them in the part navigator or reference set.
Any good sugestions? Everything is appreciated, thanks!

I've used a pattern feature in a part patterned an hole. At more level up, I'm trying to use Pattern component - Layout reference but the command doesn't feel the pattern feature.
Which are constraints, limitation level or assembly load option that permit to use pattern feature in Pattern component - Layout reference ?
Can someone tell me what the restrictions are of the ''smart lightweight views'' option?
I already saw that ''Build smart lightweight legacy broken views'' and ''Apply perspective or thread renderings to the smart lightweight view'' are not possible.
