When I try to create a Hole Table, only is possible to select any hole. Is there any preference to configure for solution this problem?

Import RGB Point Cloud in Siemens NX 10
Hi, I am a NX10 user. (10.0.3)
I am currently working on a Reverse Engineering task. I need to import the reference data to start a reverse engineering process in Siemens NX 10. My data is a point cloud in .ply format. The cloud, however, has also RGB data associated with each point and I need to import that too.
In other words, I need a coloured point cloud imported in Siemens NX 10, does anyone knows if this is possible and how? Could someone send me a custom-made tool in NXOpen or grip maybe?
Do you know if it is possible in Siemens NX 11 maybe?

Exporting part for machining from TC
Hi Guys,
What is the prefered way to ba able to work with part files for machining when using TeamCenter?
It looks to me that the part needs to be exported from TeamCenter. I tried and it is quite bad to use the export form as far as understanding all the forms and tabs.
After the export is there still some associativity between the data and the the machining software? Using NX machining.

Multiple face corruption on part ?

Multiple face corruption on Sheet metal part ?
- How to remove they all appear inside bends ? (Caused by someone's poor Delmia Catia conversion to NX 9 )
- If I try to "Optimize Face" it causes that a New Flat-Pattern can't be made "Body not found or Body can't be created... or similar" comes as an error. Also "edges need to be ripped" warnings.
- If I try to "Normal Cutout" -> Error. Failed to create preview verify input. I try midplane,thickness, through all, symmetric depth=both sides..
- "Modeling"-> extrusion is a very coarse way to hack it but sometimes it gets results sometimes not.

Variational Sweep
Hello,
i am working with NX11.0.0.33 MP0 and there are several changes in Variational Sweep. They are really good for analysis in case when VS can't produce a geometry. But what i miss, is automaticaly generated expressions links between VS and sketch.
In past i haved problem with non-linked VS in NX10, but that i taked as issue of part:
I take that as issue, because when is made a sketch with 10 dimensions and from it as well VS with 2 positions of dimensions changes, musst be there 4 times by hand VS expressions spare with links on sketch.
That i say really hard work.
I hope i maked somethings wrong and is it possible automatic links somewhere allow. I don't wanna to believe in NX is this situation as standart, because it is step back in cave age.
Please give me some advice or explanation

-> Until I click "Update part list" ? Then it updates to right number.

work part display behaviour NX10
hi Experts,
a costumer ask me about how to change display behaviour of work part in assembly.
They want rest of components in assembly do not change display when a component
is selected as work part.
As a default ,when a component is selected as a work part ,the rest of components do not display
as the work part (they want change this behaviour).
I try to find any customer default to change this but at the moment no one seems to works.
Any idea about it ?

Model Updates on Changes
I am sure there is something quite simple that I am missing or there is a setting that needs to be updated, but why is that when I update a sketch plane offset - say originally the datum plane I am using for my sketch plane is offset 10" and I subsequently decide that I want to change this datum plane's offset to 12", I would expect that the sketch that originally used this datum plane and any features created would move down 2" without any input from me, but things are not working that way - I have to manually go back into the sketch and reattach it to the same datum plane in it's new location. Am I missing something?

- Now NX is stuck on the part and won't close it.
- When closing this error pops up.

Model views give only Flat-Pattern ?

- When I try to insert a regular base view of the part it only gives the Flat-Pattern ? (rotated in many ways see photo 2)

Balloons with reference parts NX10
Hi Experts!,
a costumer ask me about Balloons in a Drawing that is made as follow:
first ,open 3d assembly and then they generated a drawing file of this assembly.
They generated the part list with all components.
They generated Auto balloons
(see attached picture --at Top--example1).
Second ,they add a new base view that shows 3d geometry of a different part.
They try to modify part list changing levels(Edit Levels) in order to include new part ins Assembly Navigator Tree(this part is included as reference).
They cannot select new reference geometry in order to modify part list table and Ballons.
(see attached picture example2).
Any idea to get include this new geometry in part list table and put the Ballon too?

Dimension view is mirrored please help
I created a view, and used a break-out section to hide the parts of it that were not relevant to the view, but for some reason the dimension text is mirrored.

Unable to display the solution as I require after I solve. Please help!
I have solved for a simulation, however after I solve I am missing my design i.e. my .prt file model in the solution and I only get parameters like velocity and others. How do I get it to show? Images are attached.
