Default settings NX 11.0
Hi
I've searched for this but all I've come across were settings that applied to a drawing, and not as a default setting.
Where do you change the default line thickness for every new drawing? It comes up at 0.7mm on every new drawing which is way too thick.

NX 8.5 Crashing
Hallo we are having a problem with NX 8.5 crashing. Log files aren't showing something special (ERROR: Unhandled exception: 0xc0000005)
After searching the internet several things were listed as solution but none of the worked by me.
Do you have any ideas or checklist what i can go through so that the problematic can be solved.

How to create .fem and .sim files from a .prt file?

How to update .fem and .sim files from a modified .prt file?
Hi,
I have a .prt file and have created .fem and .sim files from it.
In the .prt files there are some parameters that I need to modify as shown in image. (1,2 and 3)
However I would like those changes to be reflected in my .fem and .sim files which doesn't happen.
Can someone please guide me how I can do it.

problem with step and iges files
Hello,
a friend of mine drew a simple component using Catia. He gave me the files of this component in .stp and .iges format. When I try to open the files with NX in .step format I obtain the error: "Library not found", while when I try to open the file in .iges format the following message is displayed: "It is impossible to find or to load the library of the IGES' converter. Install the optional Kit for .iges".
What should I do?

Parts list not showing any components
Hello everyone,
I've been using AutoCAD and SolidWorks for most of the time, and currently trying to get used to Siemens NX 11.0. I've searched for the problem I'm encountering which is that there's no display of parts in my parts list.
I've adjusted the load options of the assembly. I changed the reference sets to entire part. I checked all layers and changed levels of the parts list.. so I'm not sure what's next.
Parts are not imported solid models. They're made into models using old .dwg files.
I've made a drawing of the same assembly before, but to keep testing all functions I created a new drawing of the assembly. I'm not sure if the fault lays here, and there's a missing link between the drawing and the assembly model?
Attached is a screenshot of the parts list and assembly navigator.
(Note that this is purely for training purposes)

BSP threaded holes
I would like to control depth of this kind of holes in milimeters not in inches. I haven't found a way with the customizing menus of NX so I think I may modify nx502_Threaded_Hole_Standard.xml changing units to metric and translating inches measures for diameters... to milimeters. Is there a better way to do this? Can I have a problem in future that I can't see now?

Points from Measurements
So creating a measurement can be created easily by either picking a surface or points, and anything in between. Is there a way to create points from a measure?
For example, if I had a cone feature and I needed to know a specific distance from the cone's apex (tip) to a radial surface. I should be able to create a measure from a point on the cone (already available) to a point on the surface (most likely normal from the cone's tip point to the surface).
If it's capable to get this measurement in NX, is it also capable to create points from that measurement, to use later?
