it's normal that on NX11 a component that creates a linear pattern component, if replaced, linear pattern components remain the old component?
Luckily it's associative pattern component. Pattern a phantom part number.
Absurd.

Is there is any way to add FCF pmi to hole callout?
I want to assign characteristices/ tolerances mentioned in FCF to all holes from pattern.
FCF should contain no of holes (e.g. 6X) for understanding.

I hope someone can get me on the right track with some expression unskillfulness...
I want to drive a sketch, this limited by 2 Expression Lists and pending on a type of material
First Input:
(String) Material="Copper"
(List) Material_Options={"Copper"; "Graphite"}
Second input – 2 Lists of specific size for each Material:
(List) Copper_Electrode_data={{"10x30", "10x40", "10x50"}, {10, 10, 10}, {30, 40, 50}}
(List) Graphite_Electrode_data={{"15x15", "20x30", "20x40"}, {15, 20, 20}, {15, 30, 40}}
So far I have it working that the Electrode Size takes the List from Graphite_Electrode_data:
(String) Electrode_Size="20x40"
(List) Electrode_Size_Options=First(Graphite_Electrode_data)
What I would like to have is, that when Material is changed (to “Copper”), the Elektrode_Size takes the List from Copper_Electrode_data.
And offcourse how to to this?
Anybody any idea? Is the approach I have set up here ok?

Hi All,
Any ways to reduce file size in NX rather than heal geometry and part cleanup?
First I have imported STL model to spaceclaim and converted to solid then imported to NX in STP format which created the file size with 120MB .
I tried both heal geometry and part cleanup which reduced only 10MB.
It will be very helpful if anyone share their experience and the effective methods to deal with file size.

After making a wiring spline and assigning stock to it,
The wiring body is visible.
- Where can I find this body in the assembly browser ??
- How can I make such body visible again after switching it un-visible ?
- Why do these bodies stay visible when switching the assembly un-visible ?
I am trying to get my mind around how this wiring behaves in an assembly .....
And trying to find ways of handling them.

I am working with Section Curves (From Edit Section) in a huge assembly. After generating the section curves i am changing the color of the curves.
If i revolved or extruded the Edit Section Section Curves the revolved body or extruded body should be generated with the color of the Section Curves. For example if the green color section curves are selected for revolve then the revolve body should also come in green color.
Is there any optio to set this.

I am trying to sweep a curve along the guide line and the body is intersecting itself creating a void.

When would you ever have to use clone assembly? I guess with really large assemblies with a lot of parts you want to do a save as with. But maybe there's a more interesting use of this command?
And what is the difference between 'Create Clone Assembly' and 'Edit Existing Assembly' commands, they both have the same options.
Does anyone know if there is a way to set the settings as default for the highlight selection on rollover to be off on installation and/or the time setting that delays the rollover highlighting?
I don't see any customer defaults for these settings.

in NX 11 I had no problems with the JT export.
In NX12 I see only wireframes and no bodies in the exportet JT-File. I couldn’t find any setting to change that (see). For this case I made a simple modle. The step203 export works. (see uploaded jt, prt, config, step)

I'm currently working on a teamcenter assembly which contains parts to which I don't have the rights to. I've made the mistake of creating associative links for the part that link to a part I don't have controll over. This part is a baseline for many other parts down the line. I don't quite know why, but whenever I load the part, the associated link somehow updates and moves the entire part somewhere else in the assembly.
Is there an easy way to disable the updates / break the link without it first doing its wonky updates or do I have to reconstruct everything down the line?

The application for this is damping layer attached to door panel.
How can I fully evaluate a sketch to see whether it is a closed or open profile, where there are tiny intersections or gaps or overlaps that are hard to visually see, and how to identify reference lines?
And how do you create a reference line that is infinite? I should only have to define the location and orientation of the reference line, I shouldn't have to contrain it's length to fully contrain the sketch.

Feature request for Electrical Routing Stock.
When selecting stock for electrical routing, there are several shortcomings:
- Selection is limmited to a list that is in a text file under the mechanical routing defaults.
- A color can only be applied afterards.
Request:
- Add the possibility for general stock to enter a custom size on selection (like with space reservation in the past)
- Add the possibility to choose a color on stock selection.
- Add the possibility to store your selection as a default stock under a costom name from the selection menu.
Reason:
When using electrical routing for cabling, one is confronted with a hudge variaty of diameters available for cabling.
Getting all diameters available in the stock defaults file requires a lot of work, where only a small part only will be used in the end.
Next to that, to do such editing, one has to dig deep into the program directory of NX to find the correct file. This is not desireable for the default user.
