I'm using NX 10 to make this simple animation about movement in a dock with the Mechatronics Concept Designer. I have completed the simulation, but I'm unable to find a way to export good quality video out of this simulation. Is there anyway to export video out of the simulation frame by frame? Possibly by using NX's renderer?

I need a small help regarding linking a teamcenter attribute to an NX custom symbol in drafting application.
I have an attribute in teamcenter which is mapped to the NX attribute . I have a symbol stored in the custom symbol library. Further I want to link this attribute to this symbol in NX. The symbol should be controlled based upon the the attribute value from the teamcenter.
I was trying to link this attribute to the symbol using expressions. Can you please help me which is the best way of linking the attribute. Thanks in advance.
We use NX in TC environment and NX use to open dwg files in model environment even if we previously opened the file and save it in drawing environment. Can it be set to NX to remember it?

I'm working in NX11, creating a drafting template for a client. I created a Parts List template for drawings of individual components, saved it and even used it! I then created an Assembly List, which is configured differently, but when I tried to save it, NX wouldn't save the .prt file!?!?! NX put all the information in the table.pax file, and the assembly list appears in the "Tables" list on the right side of the NX window, but it's not saved in the table_files folder. I tried saving it in a different directory, but it wouldn't save. I tried saving it to an external drive... no deal. I'm not getting an error message, it's just... not saving the file.
Has anyone else had this behavior? I pinged our NX tech help and they said "huh???" (they're still working on it)

I'm having trouble modeling a complex bottle opener shape. I made a prototype which I 3D scanned to help me during the CAD modeling process. The scan isn't precise enough since it was made from a prototype. That's why I have to remodel the entire bottle opener. It has to be ready for manufacturing.
How would you model this design with surfaces? Any guidelines are very much appreciated. (the model in the attached files is the 3D scanned body)

when exporting a drawing into dwg format, Nx now creates two more files (see image below), one for images (logo in this case) the other for dimensions (I suppose, since if I delete this file I don't see dimensions).
This happens after I updated to NX12.02
I wonder if there is some setting I must change.

I use NX10, my cpu AMD A10 and my videographic card is AMD 7670M
When I zoom in a part in nx window, I see some distortion. It looks okey when I click on update display selection but this make me crazy. I attached a pic to explain the problem better. Anyone can help me to solve this problem?

I have a question related to Mirror copy in Ship Structure field.
In Ship Structure, when creating a plate, deck, bulkhead, etc, we use the frames of grid parts to set the limit of the objects. In grid parts, sometimes the spacing of all frames are identical but sometimes they are not.
1) When the spacing of grid parts are identical
- when using mirror copy, the newly created object will be same as the original object since the spacing of the gird parts are same, the newly created object will have the same limit as the original object.
2) When the spacing of grid part is different from the mirroring plane
- suppose that the original object(plate) was created on the part grid that has 10mm space between frames.
- I want to mirror this object based on a frame. But the space between the frames from the mirror frames 20.
- In this what is the expected behavior of mirror copy command?
- Should it create a new plate based on 20mm spaced grid parts?
- Or should it create a new plate just same as the original object
I am asking this question because I am not clear of the expected action of mirror copy when the spacing of grid parts are different.

I have just tried to install NX 12.0 on my mac. After I install, when I tried to start the software, I can only get to the start screen, but nothing after that (not even an error message). I am using macOS 10.13 High Sierra.

I don't have an idea behind this after extrude and revolve while clicking the part it takes time to select the face.Is there any idea to resolve this.

I have drafting view anomalies which can be inadvertantly dimensioned and I am looking for a pref or customer default to rid them. I seem to recall a view tolerance but I cannot located any settings which might help.

I am in the process of transitioning from SolidWorks to NX and working through both projects and the selfpaced learnings. In doing the learnings especially the surfacing where most of my grip and human interface modeling lives, i keep running into issues where I click on functions and it says Realize shape lisense or Free Form License requires. But on several such as Studio Shap and a couple otheres that look like they are needed for what I described and Demonstrated to the seller that we needed for our work flow; simply says "License server system does not support this feature [-18]". It appears all of the surfacing tutorials are within the NX for Industrial Design catagory which heavily uses the Studio Surface and X-Form both of which give the same error. Are there other trainings that would walk through the workflow for the surfacing in the Mach 1 package?
Is there a quick way to toggle the curvature comb for a spline on/off? Right now, I have to scroll the Part Navigator to get to the combs in the analysis folder. Rather than have all of them on, for all of my splines, it would be slick to be able to toggle the display of the comb for the spline I am currently working with.
In NX 11 Components that aren’t turned on in the Assembly Navigator are grayed out. Does anyone know which setting to change in Customer Defaults to make Components act like they have in previous versions?
While using Mold Wizard, Pocket, Copy Threads is turned on in the Linked Body. I found a way to turn Copy Threads off in the Pocket operation in the Customer Defaults in NX 10. I am trying to find the setting again to set up NX 11. I can’t remember which setting it was. Does anyone know which setting needs to be changed?
I tried Wave Linking the body with Copy Threads turned off and the setting stays the next time Wave Linker is used, but not when the Pocket operation is used.
