Bridge surface
Hello,
I'm trying to create a radius between 2 surfaces on a 3D-impeller.
I created the 2 surfaces, they're seperate from eachother. But I need to connect them at the top with a smooth radius. I used a bridge surface to do so.

The bridge surface is created on sketched, straight lines. As are the connecting surfaces.
Is this not the right method to achieve what I need, or should I use a different feature perhaps? Any tips are welcome.
Edit: To clarify -> I need the surfaces to connect together so I can create a solid body out of it.

I want to create multiple associative points based on the coordinates in an Excel File. I want to be able to change these coordinates by Excel any time. How can I do this?

Non linear scaling
Hello,
I have a body sheet (imported into NX).
I would like to perform a non-linear scaling of this body in X direction.
E.G. I would like the scale factor in X to be something like "1+X" so that in X=0 the scale factor is 1 (no deformation) and in X=2 the scale factor would be 3.
Is it something possible without too much complexity ?
I am trying to use the scale body, then use a function, but did not manage to implement the 1+X...

Precise assy option question
Question is about the setting:
In the Customer defaults, Teamcenter Integration, Assembly
"save imprecise assemblies as precise on save precise assembly"
The "tip" simply says "This option determines whether or not imprecise assemblies will be saved as precise on save precise assembly"
Does that simply mean unchecking will disable the ability to save a precise assembly in NX?
or
Will it disable sub-assemblies from becoming precise, when you save an upper level assembly as precise?
I ask, because we have some assemblies we want precise, but have found some subassemblies that we need imprecise, have been turned precise. I'm sure it was user error, having something in the assembly structure that should have been removed before going precise. I'm just looking to eliminate human error.

Point display
Recently we imported a some point data from an external source. There were thousands of points, and it was hard to see the points as desired, for two reasons.
1) Points are displayed as a +, and a . would be prefered. Is there a way to change the display of a point for the consumer of this point data? I could set them up a special seed file, to import in to.
2) Points were color coded in the original software, and they were all the same color in in NX. Can the colors be retained?

Multiple license files on one server ?
hello,
I'm curious to know if anyone is running multiple license files, from different vendors, on one license server.
I don't mean running multiple license servers (one for each vendor) on the same machine (which is what we are doing now), or merging different license files into one, but having one server (service) running different license files coming from differerent vendors.
According to Flexera docs this should be possible but it is unclear whether this is supported by Siemens or not. I searched UGanswer for more information but what I found is very little and pretty confused.
Has anyone tried that ?

Sketch Constraint Color
Hello,
One of the student raised the question why NX ( be it NX9 or NX11) does not show sketch constraint status color after finishing the constraint.
See attached sketch colours from the preferences.
We are able to see the particular color for ex. partially constrained as brown; but the moment we finish the constraint dialogue (geometric/dimensional) we don't have the required display.
I am quitting my org; so can any one raise a PR for this? Thanks.

UGPART-MASSPROP form and Center of Mass coordinates
I noticed that if I run mass report from NX, and then get excel report - the values of center mass data is correct,
but what strange value hold in teamcenter UGPART-MASSPROP form for center of mass? What difference?

Smooth poles
Hi,
Just read the smooth poles guide on the documentation. It says the following:
" After you create a surface that is in compliance with your specification data (such as a scanned image), you can do some minor editing to achieve a clean pole distribution and finalize the selected surface."
I've created a surface that is in compliance with my facet data. I've used a fill surface feature to do so (fill by curves). But there's a few surface bumps I'd like to smoothen out. The smooth poles feature won't let me select the surface I created. Not sure why, but is there any other way of smoothing out the surface besides X-form?
Or what surface do I need to create in order to be able to use the smooth poles feature.

Check mate error with view break
I added one view break in one of the section views. I updated the drawing but while running check mate it's showing that section view is out-of-date. In information of that section it will become out-of-date when I add this view break. And once I suppress that view break it's getting updated and passes check mate.

Remove material from Wave Geometry
Hi,
I have inherited a model where Wave linking has been used on Assembly level.
My problem is that the materials from the tool bodies seem to be stuck on part level for the target body. How can I delete these materials?
The materials are not displayed as used in Manage Materials, but they do appear on the material list on the drawing, and the weight is too high as well...
I do hope someone are able to point me in the right direction!

Can't see overall object
As the title, I can't see the overall object when I design in NX 11. This problem just occurs when I set dimension over 1000mm. Please help me fix it.

Closing files in NX11
Hello,
In NX9 when you clicked the X in the corner to close a component that was in your main assembly it would close it in the assembly as well. NX11 does not do this. Is this a setting somewhere that I can change? It was very handy when going through large assemblies. It help keep track of what you already viewed.

Distance Measurements in Model History
Is there a way to stop NX11 from storing distance measurements in the Model History tree? This usually causes problems when running file checker.
