as the title implies, how to make a part list auto update an ID symbol which wasnt created with a leader?
i can modify existing id symbols by removing the leader and then they keep relation to the pl but if i create them without "drag" operation it wont get populated

I use NX10 Version.
# PC Infomation
1) OS : Window7 - 64BIT
2) Version : NX10
I try NX Start new.
Problem is loading time. It takes about 5 minutes.
And problems occur when you right-click in the background.
NX down when it is try.
The cause is unknown.Please help me.

I would like to know easiest & fastest way to constrain two bodies in NX10...
Its consuming too much time while constraining hardwares,washers or any other part body...

I've got a light scan of an old tool that I need to refurbish. I haven't had to deal with stl files in a long time, Pre-NX days when the only thing my licenses could do were cut sections in the facet body and use through mesh curves to rebuild.
fast forward to NX10. I'm still using the same license bundle, ADVDES (UG10765). It looks like I've got a new tool, Rapid Surfacing.
Looking at the NX documentation, it looks like there may be more tools should be able to use?

From this it looks like I should be able to use Facet body Curvature but i get a licensing error.
oversight or by design?
I know Siemens likes to play with what licenses works with what tools and that things tend to vary between MRs

I have a program that auto generates .exp files that is use in NX 8.5 expressions. When testing NX 11, I can only choose .xlsx, .xls and xlsm files when browsing in the "Import and Export Expressions" menu. Is it possible to import .exp files to expressions in NX 11?

I am getting used to the quick menu that appears when placing dimensions in drafting environment, it was a bit annoying at the beginning but now I find it quite useful, specially when setting tolerances for a dimension. I just would like to know if there is a quick method for changing form H7 to h7 without entering the adjust menu. Thanks in advance.
Does any one know of a way to display a coordinate system on a drawing where the result of an exported drawing gives you a fixed size coordinate system with labels. I found that by displaying the coordinates systems and exporting the drawing as a PDF a fixed size version (without labels) is created. Though I have found no way to adjust its size or the ability to show axis labels. And I have no idea what size it will be until it is exported.
The image shown below is the export result where I placed labels by hand, but had to guess and then readjust after the first export in order to get the labels near the axes. The second image is what you see from the NX display of the drawing.

since we updated to NX 11 the performance of NX seems to be very poor. E.g. when having a part file containing only two linked bodies, the selection of one of these bodies can take several minutes. Making the solid visible or unvisible can take even more time.
Is there a way to speed the process up?
The data are located on a SSD and the machine has 32 GB of RAM and Xenon Processors with 3,5 GHz.The machine is not running on full load.
Any suggestions?

(Please provide as many details as possible.) - When the dialog window is positioned on the right hand side of the NX main window, dialogues with a bigger width than the regular ones are having their right part off the screen clipping the dialog window. * Do you currently have a workaround? - Move the dialog around to have it fully visible. * Do you have a proposal for the solution you envision Siemens PLM providing for this capability? - Allow the user to specify the dialog anchor to be at the top left or right corner. We use Teamcenter, which is saving 5 previous datasets. I know how to get to the previous datasets in rich client Teamcenter, but was wondering if/how it can be done, thru the Teamcenter navigator in NX? or some other way in NX?
is there a way just to copy the outline of a model?
I have looked through prefs and defaults but cannot locate any settings which control the graphics view snapping back to where it was before dimensioning. The pref is probably right in front of me but I'm hoping a fresh look from someone else could find it.

i have a query in nx
i used Hole table feature in drafting module, its good feature in NX
when i editing /giving tolerance in hole table via attributes,expressions, manually or etc
its taken
but when make changes in hole etc, & Update table ,the given formulas erased after updating table
so ,how to control my dimension tolerances,etc
anybody have idea for it,share it guys
