Drafting Standards and Text Parameters
How do I go about controling the text parameters for Detail and Section view labels from the drafting standards (customer defaults)?
I know you can add some things like <U> and <F7> (like below) but I don't see how to change things like height and line gap factor

Reference coordinate system undefined
In the sweep function I seem to get this error lately where it will not update sweeps that originally worked fine. Sometimes changing the origin direction or selecting a different origin curve will correct it but not always. Can someone help me understand why this happens?

is there a way to parametrize the points for a Naca profile directly using the Excel file downloaded from the Naca site?

Easy way to create isometric CutOut

Is there any easy way to create isometric cutout view? Just like save the Clip Section and bring it on the drawing? I tried those "pictorial section" and "break-out section" tools, but I loosed my nerves already...

Rapid Dimension Unit Issues
Good afternoon,
We’re having issues with our Rapid Dimensions being feet/inches instead of just inches above a certain threshold (I believe above 72”). We have our settings set to inches, not architectural feet/inches or engineering foot/inches. We recently changed our site customer defaults to not use feet, inches, and factions for automation rules, we locked this option to be unchecked. Our users are still running into issues where it’s auto converting the dimension to be in feet/inches.
Does anyone know how to fix this or where I should look next?

Hi All,
For those of you in a position where you are teaching or advising personnel who are new to NX, I would like to understand what you consider the top-5 (or so) “need to know” topics for someone’s first experience with NX.
Or, reflect back on your own first experience with NX. What are the top-5 (or so) “need to know” topics that would have been useful to you on day-1?

How to use Excel to import Connections in the Connection Navigator?
I current am creating connections for harness in NX10. I have over 150 connections to make which each connection includes:
-Wire Name
-From Conn
-From Pin
-To Conn
-To Pin
-Guage
-Color

I have all my information already in an Excel spreadsheet. Is there a way I can import that Excel sheet in NX10 using its set parameters to automatically make the connection I need?
I was looking into to this and I saw i can import an .plmxml file. I dont know what this file is. Anything is helpful as the method I'm doing now will take plenty hours to do.

Creo -> NX Equivalent
Morning All
New(ish) to NX as my previous employ used Creo.
Can somebody point me in the right direction regarding the NX equivalent of Creo 'Boundary Blend'
I've tried the swept and variational sweep commands and I keep getting errors messges.
I'm trying to create a pump volute. In Creo I'd select the hoops and use the arc as a guide.

automatic finding partially constraint or fail constraint in assembly
i want to find partially contraint component from assembly ,so is there any way to show that part from that perticular assembly. because i have 1000 components in single assembly and there are so many component that is pack(more than 1 quantity) so its time consuming to find partially contraint component from that asselbly.

3D annotations display
Sometimes I would like to display 3D annotations in screenshot used in ppt presentations. I prefer to measure directly into NX rather than manually adding the measurement in ppt, for obvious reasons (accuracy, time). I use the display annotation option in the measure tool to display these annotations. I can control the location of the measurement, however not the orientation. Sometimes it's not displayed in a logical way, is there a way to control the orientation of this 3d measurement? I would prefer it to have a X, Y, Z location or parallel to geometry surfaces.

UserPreferences.txt is not honored in NX1876
Hi,
we have switched from NX 1867 to NX 1876 and the customization present in the UserPreferences.txt is not read by NX 1876. For what I remember, the switch from Windows registry to UserPreferences.txt was implemented by Siemens to avoid lose customization during the switch.

NX11: save jt data in save options ? JT2Go and PMI.
Hello ( Sheet metal JT files in JT2Go.)
I have Save JT Data ON in NX11's Save Options.
- JT model appears ok in Teamcenter 11.
- But when I open JT model in JT2Go(=Siemens 3D-viewer software) flat-pattern does not show any lines ( invisible lines\edges ).
- How to make lines visible in JT2Go's flat-pattern ?
Is it even possible to view sheet metal flat-patterns with Siemens JT viewer=JT2Go ?

I can create printer for Nx. But when I tried to create printer for Nx ideas 6.7 I couldn't add my printer in "Nx ideas 6.7 Print Administation". I clicked Print Administrationthen the screen in the picture below opens.

Gradient transparency in NX
How to render a body with gradient transparent, so that it gradually goes from completely transparent to non-transparent?
In the example from Learning Advantage (attached) the front cover is fully transparent on the right side but non-transparent on the left side.
