Hello!
Is there a way to use the virtual time in MCD as a variable for a function?
I want to create a function over time to set the speed of a SpeedControl (jsut on example).
Thank you!

when zooming out one model, such as figure 1, the edge became dim, when zooming in the model, it is normal, such as figure 2, I do not know why?

I have submitted an ER for creating thread classes in NX. I use NX CAM and would like accurate thread milling toolpaths, my customers use NX for design, drafting, PMI and would like to select thread classes in the creation of their model features. Having thread classes built into the parametric model will make both our lives easier. Below is my submission for reference. If you think this will help you as well, please reach out to GTAC so they can know what sort of demand this has.

- Short Description:
Thread classes are missing from NX thread parameters. Thread geometries are not fully defined in NX.
- What activity in your process is NX not able to currently handle?
Storing parametric thread class and pitch diameter data in features then using it associatively in downstream workflows, i.e. thread milling in CAM.
- What result are you trying to achieve?
Ability to select thread class while creating threaded features, then use this parametric feature data in downstream workflows such as PMI/drafting and CAM.
- Do you currently have a workaround? If yes, please describe it.
No workaround which provides associativity.
- Do you have a proposal for the solution you envision NX providing for this capability?
Implement ability to store thread class and pitch diameter data in model.
Add standard thread classes and pitch diameter values to nx502_Threaded_Hole_Standard.xml file, thd_metric.dat, thd_english.dat, and/or other necessary files.
Add thread class selection to threaded feature dialogs.
Add associative display of thread class information in PMI/drafting dimensions.
Change thread milling operation in CAM to be driven by pitch diameter data, with user input of a percentage value between min and max pitch dia. to cut (default being 50%).
- What is the level of productivity gained from such an enhancement?
Moderate to high. In addition to increased productivity, model definition is more complete, CAM thread milling operations become accurate, and associativity is created where there is none currently.
Why does the function in Sketch - Make symmetric always change the lines to have same lenght?
Hello
In a part there is 5 bodies (Hollow Cylindrical touching with nearby one) availble in the part navigator.
Now i need to unite all these bodies to form the single body. I have tried all the commands in Menu > Insert > Combine.
Any suggestions, thanks ina advance.
My requirement is i need to calculate the internal flow volume and if united then by using `Delete Face' i can create a internal body and i will calculate the volume.

Hello,
I have a problem with associative measures in NX 12.0.2.
In an assembly I create two arrangements.
I create an associative measure and then I change the arrangement.
The measurement is updated but according to the position of the first arrangement. It therefore depends on the arrangement in which it was created.
Is it possible to create an associative measure that is updated regardless of the arrangement used?
Thank you !
Dear Siemens PLM Customer,
Maintenance Pack 13 for NX 11.0.2 is now available on the Siemens PLM Download Server.
NX 11.0.2 reached End of Standard Maintenance on Dec. 18, 2018. There has been no change in the EoSM for NX 11.0.2 and we are not fixing any new PRs in the NX 11.0.2 code.
We found that one of the changes added in NX 11.0.2 MP12 can cause undesired side-effects with the Edge Blend UI that cannot be easily worked around. As a result, we have decided to re-issue the patch with that particular change removed.
Since the code associated with that MP12 change has been removed, that particular issue will therefore no longer be resolved with MP13.
Because this error was caused by an internal Siemens PLM process, and understanding the impact it may have had on customers who had planned to deploy the final patch in the NX 11.0.2 lifecycle, we have decided to issue this additional patch for the benefit of those customers.
Rather than posting this as a "Revised MP12", we have named it "MP13" to avoid confusion. The maintenance pack is available for Windows 64-Bit and Linux 64-Bit images of NX 11.0.2.
To select the release package(s) for your platform(s) click on the following link or enter the URL in your browser address window:
https://download.industrysoftware.automation.siemens.com/download.php
Note: A valid WebKey account is required.
From the Download page, enter “11.0.2.mp13” (including the quotes) in the Search box to see a list of links for the release letter and available release packages.
Alternatively, the release package can be found in the file navigator by selecting 'NX' from the Product menu on the left of the page and then expanding the following folders: NX Support > NX End of Standard Maintenance > NX 11 > Maintenance-packs > [Platform].
Sincerely,
Ben Broad

The old legacy thread feature uses thread look up tables. We have noticed that the machinery handbook numbers in the OOTB look up tables, appear to differ from what the Starrett chart shows, which is our "standard". Thus, users get the "Cylindrical face diameter is in conflict with thread definition" message.
Is it possible to edit the OOTB thread look up tables, and put them in a server location, ie NXcustom, so that all users in the company get them? Per the help docs, the OOTB tables are "embedded", so I am assuming they can not be edited. Searching the install directory didn't showme anything that jumped out, and said, "edit me!"
Hey guys
I have a small problem about exporting 2d documentation to pdf. When i'm creating the drawings the lines of model are thicker that the dimensions lines as i want. But after exporting to pdf thickness of the model and dimensions lines are the same. I looked for some solutions but nothing has worked yet.
Does anyone know what to do?
Greetings
Hi there,
Anybody knows if is there a way do disperse a subassembly and the components does not lost the constraints each other?
Best Regards,
hello all,
i was wondering can we export STEP files of assemblies or components directly into Team center, i.e.it creates STEP dataset under the part of TC, just like when we export PDF, it creates dataset.
please suggest.
thanks.

We chamfer all of the edge of our holes in our mold base plates.
Usually with symmetric-single curve-edge. Tolerance is 0.001 inches
If we select too many edges at once it is taking a long time to update the model and any section views in drafting.
Is any one else seeing this?
The documentation says

But I don't notice any difference when I have this preference turned on or off. I can still select geometry whether I have it turned on or off.
Hello
I copy pasted these view from a DXF(=transformed to a .prt with NX) to a new drawing.
- Now I can't drag the "views"(lines,splines,..) with mouse.
How to move the "views" ?
I have custom symbol with text attribute. When I insert this symbol, I can input Ra value.Sometimes I want insert this symbol in another. For example, in weld symbol. But I get custom symbol without Ra value.
How can I input text attrubute, when I insert custom symbol in another one?
Hi,
I made tread hole and then I made intersection. When I go to draft to make section view the thread is not marked along the entire length (check photo nr 2)
What could be reason? Are you able to help me?
