In documentation I can see whats new about new features or commands but I cant find what has been changed in the "core" of the program in order to improve performance. Where can I find information about it? Any feature has been rewrited to take advantage of multiple processor cores?

New physical measure -> Surface power density

I am looking for a solution to define a variable whose physical dimension is a "Surface power density" .
That is "W/m^2" or also "kg/m^3".
I don't find this measure in the list then I write an expression.

Negative end cut of stiffener in ship structure
Hello,
I am trying to create the following situation of HP-profiles in my ship structure:
But, unfortunately the only thing I am able to create in NX is as follows:
I think this is because the stiffener always follows the ship's hull...
Could someone explain me how to make the desired, sort of negative end cut of a profile?

NX11 - Sheet Metal - Cannot select faces in JOG or JOGGLE functions
Hi,
I am building a sheet metal (0.5 mm steel part) product using Sheet Metal module. The model contains some TABS, PUNCHES and I want also to include some JOGGLES. But...for some reason NX does not want to select faces nor lines or edges in JOGGLE function. Nothing is selectable. If I get out the Joggle function, again everything becomes selectable and highligted when I touch. I checked the same issue exists also with BEND and FLANGE functions (i.e. nothing is selectable). Are there any conditions for the faces to be selectable in those functions (i.e. JOGGLE, JOG, BEND, FLANGE)?

Hole series in Assenbly
Hi,
I want to create a hole series which will create connected holes in two components of an assembly. On the start tab define the hole type, form Simple. I only want holes of Ø30 in both components and NOT a screw hole and I see it's required to enter parameters of a screw size. I that case, I set the following parameters:
Screw size: 30 mm
Diameter: Ø30. Bolean is set to sustract.
Click in the middle tab and check box "match dimension of start hole" is selected.
Click end tab and check again "Match dimension of start hole" because I want a hole of Ø30 mm in two components.
The botton line is:
Fist component has Ø30 holes and second ones: M30.
What I have to do so that the two components of an assembly have the same diameter using Hole series?

I'm trying to use local docs of NX. Both of the following servers are running in my services tab of task manager:
Siemens PLM Documentation Server
Siemens PLM Solr Server
But Help isn't working as it should. For example there is no content for "Product area" pane.:

Clearance analysis & Assy constraints
Hello every one.
I need to perform clearance analyslis on big assembly.
i have made some test & i not able to reduce the claculation time. on sub-assy, calculation is around 57 hours in a upgraded workstation.
I was thinking that with contraints the analysis will skip them or indicate the status instead of the undetermined, specialy for touching type.
Do someone now how to improve the result & get only the hard & touching that are undetermined (no constraints)?

I am not able to try that, since this command is not available. I am using this License bundle: NX13300N
Does anyone know how that works?

NX11 Sheet Metal - Unbend / Flat Pattern issue
Hi,
I finally succeeded to finish my sheet metal model which I had few (painful) problems.
It is a large diameter, thin thickness (SST) tube cutted all along (created from solid extrude, cutted a thin slice in order to be able to unbend) which includes punches in circumference symmetrically.
I succeeded to finish and perform many unbend and rebend actions (and also convert to SM actions) during my work. I did all the work ( i.e. punches) when the model was unbend and flat. And finally rebend it.
Now that I finished the model and looks great, NX refuses to unbend it. Nor to flat it (for drawing purposes).
I tried to reapply Convert to SM module. It has a problem with some faces.
My question is:
Are there any procedures or hidden log files, etc. where I can have more detailed clues what is bothering NX for the unbend action? I cannot see any visual clues what is or which features in my model are problematic...

NX1847 defaults/settings/templates
Hi,
so, currently running NX11.
1. Should I do clean install, recreate settings / defaults / templates in NX1847?
2. Or maybe I should import everything from NX11 to NX1847 with fingers crossed?
Or what would be the best practice in this case NX11 -> NX1847.
I am asking this, because it was never a smooth transition to go from version to version.
I (we) don't change NX defaults too much, most of it is drafting standard and only up to 5 sheet templates. Few other templates get attributes preloaded.

NX with EOS 3D Printer
Hello,
is anyone using NX in connection with an EOS machine?
Starting with NX12 it should be possible to use NX to position the stl files without using an additional software.

NX1847-What's changed in NX Configuration and NXOpen
Hi Siemens PLM Team,
when NX Continuous Release - Upgrading NXOpen Customization (NXOpen Reporter Tool) will be available on NX1847?
We have planned the transition from NX11 to NX1847 in the final of March. We have lot of custom journals to validate before the switch. In the presentation you have talked of 'NXOpen Reporter Tool'. On beta you have shared a python utility that is not ideal to use and had strange results.
