Keyboard hot keys
I've has some discussions in the customize and programming section, but thought I would raise the questions here, hoping someone may have seen this before.
I have auser at a remote location, that has had to reset his custom keyboard accelerators every day, and reset his role. I'm not sure for how long, but I was informed a week ago. During my investigation, I found his user.mtx file was currupt, and truncated. Since the keyboard accelerators are stored there, and I didn't see them listed, I figured that was it. I removed his user.mtx, he recreated the hot keys, and reset his role. A new user.mtx was created, and when I look at it, it appears valid, with the keyboard accelerators.
When the user starts a new NX session, the role setup is correct, but the keyboard accelerators do not work.
I swapped his user.mtx file in for me, launched NX, and the accelerators work fine.
Any thoughts? hardware issue? software issue?

NX11 PMI
I have several question on the subject but lets start out with a Basic one .
I create a simple model in NX11 and a drawing with Dimension .
I then do a convert to PMI But instead of converting the exsisting dimension to PMI it creates a complete new set of Dimensionin in the model and once you do this to get the PMI diemension back to the drawing you need to Delete all the old dimension and turn on PMI in the drawing view
What I would like to know is there a setting that can be set that if you convert to PMI it deletes the old dimensions and turns on the PMI view for all views during the convertion? Very time comsuming to do manually and if you have several veiws and sheets.

Drawing views, show part of an assemlby
I am fairly new to NX and am using NX10. I have an assembly with many parts and want to a succession of views in the drawing set to show how parts are added. I have looked at using Arrangements and Reference Sets to specify what parts show up in a view but they do not appear to be the correct way to go. Creating a view of the entire assembly then hiding appropriate parts is really tedius and time consuming; I'm betting there is a much better way. Can somebody share with me how that is done?

NX 10 decimal cases
Hi! I am using NX 10.0.3.5 and I would to know if it is possible and how to change the user default values to set the dimensional constraints to 3 decimal cases as well as the drafting decimals (see pictures below).
I have found some solutions here on the forum but they only work for the current session or each constraint!

NX Licence update
Hi all,
Lets start.
We have some pretty old bundle (3 pcs. Node Locked):
UG10762 + UGD10810 = P1.
Problem is that today (and actually a lot of days before) this bundle is very limited. No Sheet Metal, no Rapid Prototyping and probably something else if compared even to NX Mach Designer.
We are still paying maintenance for software. I think those should have been simply converted/updated to like NX Mach Designer or NX Mach 1 Design. Otherwise - what kind of maintenance is that? Its not like I am asking Mach 3 Industrial Design with Aerospace and Shipbuilding 
I just want to be up to date.
And yes, I have contacted our distributor. Apparently if you want those "new" components, one must buy a bundle once again. Is that really the only way?
P.S. we do not have first level support with Siemens PLM, so kinda stuck with local distributor.

modeling letters and numbers
we do some metal stamping and I need to make models of the stamps with the numbers or letters on them. they want crisp imprints single line letters. The ones I am working on right now the want .030 inch tall by .015 wide and raised .004-.006 high with taper all around. the nc programmers can use text to drive their cutter and make letters but I cannot use the text to drive my geometry to make my number, because the text is not tangent. any Ideas

How to add worm-gear library to NX?
As other 3D CAD software like Inventor or Solidwork, I relize worm-gear library on interface. But I can't find that on NX. Or another way to quick design it on NX?

Part version in nx 9.0 assembly
In nx 9.0 we have to set the load options before opening any assembly, for this we have the assembly load options. my doubt is what is part name versions and how it is possible for single part file with different versions. what is the use of part name versions. kindly resolve my probles.

Mixed floating and node-locked license
Hello!
Does anyone have experience with installation of mixed nodelocked and floating license?
In one license, I have floating license and nodelocked license (several mach advantage licenses). Here is what I have already done:
1. I have installed NX license server on company's server
2. on client computer (NX user), there is the same license file in a folder c:\NXlicense
3. the variable SPLM_LICENSE_SERVER is set so, that it points to the folder c:\NXlicense. Just like node-locked installation.
4. I have also set the following variable UGS_LICENSE_BUNDLE=NX41000
Now, as long as the client computer is in the network, NX works. It can reach the appropriate node-locked license and can use the floating license, when it is available.
But, when the client is out of network, NX doesn't work. It can not find the nodelocked license, that is created for this computer.
When out of network, I get the following error:
License Error, Error while attemmpting to get FLEX daemon version. [-10042].
How can I set the installation of NX so, that it will work also without the network.

Release planning
Hello,
we are currently on NX10.0.3 (MR3) and according to SFB-NX-8110 it is maintained until 09. November 2017
In the past we skipped one major release and chose to switch at the end of maintainance.
According to the release of NX11 in august 2016 it is not very likely that NX12 will be ready in November 2017 or at least there will be no MR released yet. (we normally test the MR and report errors and in the end roll out MR3)
Are there any planned dates for NX12 yet?
Is it a problem to use a not maintained release?

Configuration of New HP Pagewide XL 5000 plotter
Dear Team,
We are using Unigraphics NX 9.0 , and are under a process of evaluating New HP Pagewide XL 5000 plotter.
We find the plotter to be perfect but are not able to understand how we can configure the plotter under plot command for our customized paper sizes.
We are already using OCE TDS 600 and have some setting done for the existing plotter. But for the new one we are unable to do so. However we are able to get plot upto A0 size.

Component Disappear after rotation
Hello everyone, I have been trying to rotate a component with a macro and every time the component is rotated or translated, the component just banish. The piece is still on the file according to the "Assembly Navigator" but after activating all layers there is no clue of the component.

Using feature pattern increment for irregular dimensions?
Hello everyone!
It is possible to use Feature Pattern's Increment tool to drive dimensions of features to get regular increment/decrement.
Is it possible to use Increment tool to get irregular increment/decrement?
I know that it is possible to edit every instance of a feature and change dimensions directly there and get exactly the result needed. But my idea is to make it fully associative. I can imagine a list where user enters as many numbers as he needs instances, and every instance takes out dimension from list according to its position number. That would be very convenient and fully associative. Would it be possible?
I have version 8.5 in mind, but if it is possible in higher versions then ok.

Moment of inertia Help!!
Hey everyone,
I have literally tried everything to get the 'Area Momemnt of Inertia' of the cross section of my part and nothing has worked thus far. I honestly don't understand it anymore. This is such an easy problem but every forum thread I've read leads me to a dead end...
Here's my part, the end cross section face (highlighted in yellow) is the cross section I am trying to find the Area Moment of Inertia and about the X-Axis (see the WCS):
Yes I have tried "Analysis > Section Inertia" function, but when I do I get this:
which appears incorrect because if I am reading it right, it says that I_x = 1...
Yes I have tried "Analysis > Advanced Mass Properties > Area using Curves" function but I get this:
which is obviously wrong because everything is ZERO.
And I even tried going through this whole tutorial (attached pdf file) but I believe the numbers are WRONG because NX is defining its own axis (not about the WCS)...
So I was hoping somebody can shed some light on this relatively easy problem. Yes I know I could do it by hand but I want to check it via NX..
Please I need some guidance here.. Maybe step by step seeing as how I am incapable
