Nx Module : Assembly
I need to find which part is first assembled (Or Fully constrained) in the assembly then next part, then next next part.
For example : If a truck is assembled then first chasis is assembled, second engine is assembled, third gear box is assembled like that.
Is there any way to find the sequence of assembly i.e., which is assembled first and which is assembled last.

If we are using the `Instance Points’ and deleted the some parts in the Component pattern by using `Instance Points’.
After did this a warning symbol is included in the `Component Pattern’ icon.
Is there any way to override the warning symbol in the `Component Pattern’ icon.

I have assembled a bolt then created a pattern a for 24 parts (23 parts created inside assembled) around 360°. Now I need to hide the remaining 23 parts. Currently I am deleting the Component Pattern, instead is there any shortcuts for this.

If have assembled a bolt with flange by selecting the bolt cylindrical surface first then flange hole cylindrical surface next then a constraint with Touch Bolt file name and Flange file name will be displayed.
Now after created this constrain if any ways to change the naming from ` Touch Bolt file name and Flange file name’ to ` Touch Flange file name and Bolt file name’.

While replacing a component inside the Assy. Similar part with very very minor change (Same XY, YZ and XZ planes used with old and new parts) and change in non interface / mating places.
The constrains are broking, is there any way to avoid this.

I'm using "Unite Feature" to unite two solid bodies. One is a smaller box (tool) with a hole going through it which is being placed in a bigger box (target). Since I want to keep the hole of the smalle box I use keep regions so the hole doesn't get filled during the unite boolean operation.
Even though it works fine, it does create an issue which is that any modification of the resulting body triggers feature update from that Unite slowing done the design process.
The target body is a Linked Body from another part.
Anyone know why it works in this way?

I WAS INSTALLING NX 10.0, WHEN I STARTED TO INSTALL LICENSE SERVER THEN I GOT ERROR "INVALID SERVER NAME" (SCREENSHOT ATTACHED).
FIRST I INSTALLED JAVA THEN ADDED MY COMPUTER'S NAME TO splm6 FILE.
AND THEN I GOT THAT ERROR.
PLEASE TRY TO HELP ME IN THIS ERROR PROBLEM.

While in the sketch task envrionment, I normally apply constraints using the geometric constriants popup menu that appears after the entities are selected. However, occasionally the menu will disappear before I can select a constraint. Is there as way to make it reappear without having to reselect the entities?

When creating parts in the context of an assembly (i.e. top down construction) I've been using the "Project Curve" command to bring in curves from other parts that I want to align with. I then change these to reference curves, and use them to locate sketch curves in the part I'm constructing. Although this works, I'm wondering if NX has any other ways to associatively align geometry between two components? The projected curves can sometimes clutter the sketch a bit, so I'm curious if there are other options for doing this. Thanks.

I would like to do some drawing automation with Knowledge Fusion. How could I create the script that places the Front, Left and Top views?
In the Knowledge Fusion Navigator I have tried to add the "nx_base_view" as child rule but the "select_model_view_selected_name" parameter had error (if I have written "Front" to it e.g.) and did not know exactly what to add here.

Hello, Is there a way to get the pattern component preview to actually match up with the numbers entered in the Pattern Definition window? I'll have a Count and a Pitch distance specified but the preview very often does not match. Is the intent that it should match up or is the intent just to show the general direction of the pattern? If it is supposed to match up, is there a setting that I need to change to get them to match up? Thanks

I came across a problem I cannot identify. User's NX visualizes model edges with extra polygons. This applies to all kinds of views - Shaded, Wireframe, ect. I checkd settings I could think of and could not fix the problem. Where did I forget to look?
