symmetrical pattern
Hi,
When I use the pattern feature command in modelling there is a symmetrical option available for a rectangular pattern, but it is not there for a circular pattern.

Setting for image display improvement
Hello, Is there a setting or something that can be done to improve the poor quality that I have when viewing an assembly? I have a sheet metal assembly with components added to the opposite (hidden) side of a sheet metal part. Even though the components are on the other side, the edges of the components are visible. The screenshot shows these edges that are visible. This is a pain for when I want to do a screenshot of the assembly, but the edges are visible. If I zoom in enough, the edges disappear, but that's not convenient for when trying to do a screenshot of a whole assembly. I haven't encountered this situation from working with other CAD softwares, so not sure what is the fix. A recommended setting change or another NX work around would be helpful. Thanks

(NX9) Any function like "Design Manager" in SE?
Hi everybody. I'm new in NX and previously I worked with SE ST9.
I want to copy parts in same assembly model, which the parts place all around our server. Does NX provide a function like "Design Manager" in SE to "Pack-and-go" all parts under the same assembly model?

Closed sheet body - keep it as sheet
Hello all,
I have a closed sheet body formed by some sheets.
When I sew all the body automatically convert to a solid body, but I want to keep it as a sheet body. Is it possible?
Can anyone help me with that?

I'm curious as to what NX or other Siemens PLM tools people are using to compare solids bodies or to compare part file to part file? Looking for options to compare imported bodies (revisions) of parts.

Clone multiple times
hi everyone,
I need help on how to clone SAME assembly (and its parts) multiple times (with naming rule).
for example:
I have:
Main_assy_01.prt
part_A_01.prt
part_B_01.prt
and I want to be able (may be through log file?) to clone that assy and its parts multiple times in one operation:
Main_assy_02.prt
part_A_02.prt
part_B_02.prt
Main_assy_03.prt
part_A_03.prt
part_B_03.prt
Main_assy_04.prt
part_A_04.prt
part_B_04.prt
and so on..
Now I have to do it manually ( I mean, by cloning... but one each time, problem is I have to do this like ten or twenty times, with multiple different assemblies). Right now still working with NX9 (but we are about to upgrade to nx11)

Ship design - Ship container
Hello,
How can we add parts as a container? I can not activate the detailed design.
I found something in help.
* The ship container name is used as a prefix for the detail plate or profile naming rules.
* Selecting the container part
The type of object you select as a container part depends on which operation mode you are using to define the ship data.
4th Generation Design – Design Element Mode
You can select a subset as a container, but you must specify the following environment variable:
UGII_ALLOW_SUBSET_AS_CONTAINER=1
*A SHIP_CONTAINER attribute is assigned to the container.

zombie dimensions
I have a drawing of a small assembly; "replace component" was used on one of the parts. The drawing was then updated and most of the dimensions updated or went into the "retained" state as expected. However, a few dimenions went into a zombie-like state; they do not update with the model, but they are not "retained" either. In fact, they cannot be selected for editing or deletion. Has anyone seen this before? NX 9.0.3.4

NX 11 memory access violation

sto utilizzando NX11, quando vado a fare un estrusione in ambiente .par mi appare il messaggio in allegato.
"Errore inerno: Violazione accesso memoria" ed anche "Eccezione trovata in C++ Standard vedere il registro di sistema per ulteriore dettagli"

I'm using NX 11, when i'm going to do an extrusione in the .par enviroment i see the attached message.
"Internal error: memory access violation" and Exception found un C++ standard see the system log for further details.

Create wings for ground effect vehicle
My subject is to create the displayed feature for a vehicle. I already know how to do the airfoils
first question is. How do i get the airfoil to be filled and not to be hollow?
Second question is, how do i get the connection of these two airfoils?
It should look something like this:
Basically i only know how to create the two airfoils at the bottom. However i do not know how to create the horizontal and vertical "connectors"
Note that we just started using NX, so im a complete beginner.
Any help is appreciated

can not unfold the hem feature

- NX wants to create just the orange horizontal dimension ( Circled with red ).
- Why it does not want to create the needed vertical dimension ( Drawed black line )
- It happens only in this model.
- Replace Reference Set = "entire part".

Replacing components in Assembly

I have an assembly file which houses 20 sub-assembly parts. Now, I want to replace only 15 sub-component parts without changing the main assembly file. I don't wish to do it one by one. Is there an efficient way of doing the replacement.

swept section along a spiral
I want to swept a section along a spiral but no point of the section is touching the spiral. I try to align with a vector but I cant achieve a totally cylindrical external face. What am I doing wrong?

NX11 Menu/Top Bar Size
Hello experts
we ahve NX11 on Lenovo P50 laptops, please refer to attached screen shot on top left hand area where the icons "save", "undo" etc shows very tiny
Attached another screensot on HPZeebok laptop where things seems to be normal,
we tried
File-->preferences-->User inteface pref--> Theme, but didt work
Tried
Menu-->Customize--Icon and tooltips,--> Nothing much changed
GTAC saying update graphic cards, but same is working fine on other laptops with similar graphic cards, hope to hear from experts on forum

Export an assembly from NX11 to NX06 with parasolid
Hello,
I have never used NX before today and I need to modify assemblies and elec diagrams on NX11 from NX06 files.
On the forum I saw it's possible to visualize an NX11 file on NX06 with Parasolid.
I have NX11 and I have opened an NX06 assembly to modify 2/3 things and tried to export the assembly with parasolid but it doesn't work.
Indeed:
- I haven't the parasolid export available in the File->Export
- When I open the functionality with a different way, I put a name, choice the version to export but nothing happens when I click on OK.

Unable to reference parent objects that are deleted.
Hello, I added a feature to a part while in an assembly. Evidently the feature was tied to a parent in the assembly and now the parent is deleted. I keep getting this message: "Warning: Unable to reference parent objects that are deleted.", but I don't see any problems or external references in the feature itself.
Are there any recommendations for how to fix this supposed problem? Thanks
