Siemens NX and Nvidia Quadro - Driver issues still present

The current state with Nvidia Quadro drivers and NX:

It's been more than a year now that we - Nvidia Quadro users - are stuck with drivers that are from 09-2017, namely 385.69. This is also the latest driver Siemens hardware certification shows as latest supported.

We have had so many issues with Quadro's and Siemens NX when it comes to exporting to any kind of file format (dxf, step etc.), that we simply cannot update to any newer driver version.

Now with all these massive Windows updates (I defer the big feature upgrades months and months before rolling out to production sites), it becomes increasingly difficult to make sure all our Quadro's keep functioning with these rather old drivers.

It has been the major reason we started switching to AMD Pro WX cards; these have been working flawlessly from the beginning and get continual Siemens certification (even the latest 18.Q4 got its certification before launch date) - which is great.

My question is:

How come that after so many issues with NX and Nvidia cards, many many of which reported on these forums, either related to Quadro or non-Quadro*, we NX-users are still stuck with drivers that are almost 1.5 years old?! Why is nothing being done to fix this? It is incredibly hard to imagine that a huge company like Siemens and Nvidia are not working together on this; they must notice their age-old driver as being the only certified driver still as rather troublesome, no?

* (I know, Geforce cards are not supported, but they all share the same problem with the Quadros when it comes to C++ exceptions being thrown at exporting from NX).

In the current Windows eco-system wherein Microsoft continually pushes for faster and more updates that seem to rather break than fix issues, having older- and older drivers around (especially for the GPU) becomes increasingly hard for me to pre-test before rolling out to production sites (as Windows also gets more and more graphically intensive, leaning increasingly on the GPU as well). Just now Windows Update had some Workstations scr*w up their Nvidia Drivers, even though I let WSUS not update drivers and block certian updates.. It's a lost battle against the monster that is called Windows Update.

And let alone all the other CAD-software we have running around, currently I we are seeing increasingly more issues with AutoCAD paired with these old drivers..

And as you know, you cannot run multiple GPU-drivers.

I sincerely hope for Nvidia and Siemens to start picking up driver certification as AMD has been doing. Although it seems unlikely..
