Sketch preferences / behavior
Are there any indicators that can be set so that I will know if there are gaps (not closed) between sketched lines that are supposed to interesect or if there are double lines on top of each other? I'm working on a sketch for creating a feature in a part and am having trouble getting the sketch usable for an extrude. I'm getting a message that the sketch can't be used for an extrude, so I'm going into the sketch and checking every line and intersection to see what the problem is. I'm also used to using another CAD software and when a sketch was completely closed with no gaps, the whole sketch would turn shaded. That would be very helpful now. Is there a similar option in NX? [Drafting] Color from sidewall face.
Hi
Feature floor color is blue, and wall color is red.
I try drafing. I want to express it in sidewall color.
But now it looks like this:
The hole line should be represented in red, which is the color of the sidewall.

STL Export
Hi all,
I have a big problem, i use NX for 3D print modelling too, but sometimes when i export to STL the exported file contains zunds of triangles that are have the same endpoint. The problem is with it that the printer makes more material on this places. is there an option, to set the STL export that i can limit the side lenghts of the triangles?

Zoom direction change
Hi,
I installed the NX11 and my problem is that i hade used the CTRL+MMB to zoom in and out. The function was that up was zoom out down zoom in. That changed in NX11. Is there an option to change this?

How to create a view break (no break-out section) in a isometric view.
How can I create views (view break) in isometric view. If I have lucky, I will be able to create the first view break, but the 2nd one in the same view is not possible, it must be parallel or perpendicular to the first one and this is not the case. I have a very large tube bent in three space directions and I need to break it to fit in a view.

How to open a PMI-URL in the NX-internal Browser?
I use the PMI-command "URL-Note" to associate a URL link to my model. When i click on the URL my default browser pops up and shows the webpage.
Question: How can i force NX to open the URL in it's own browser (in one the recource bar)? Any ideas?

round off dimensions in NX ?
I had the question from one of my users, : Is it possible to round off a drafting dimension, say 4635 to 4600 [mm] ?
( relative large objects, buildings.)
I replied that if he would dimension in meters instead of millimeter, then he could set the number of decimals to accomplish that. : 4.635m -> 4.6m
But, He wants millimeter.
Is it possible ?

- It looks OK in Excel but when back in NX some texts are aligned left.

Nx motion force problem
Hi everybody, I designed a small carriage car with nx. I added all informations friction etc... I want to learn how can I calculate minimum force on Nx for the give initial movement this carriage car . And wheels of this car when they are in different positions initial force will change I also need to calculate it in nx I added picture of carriage car. Can You Copy An Explosion To An Arrangement?
Hi All,
Simple question really, can the exploded layout be copied to an arrangement?
We've a designer here who has completed a large task of creating views and has used the exploded view commands. Trouble is the JT viewing program we use here can't see the exploded view however it can see arrangements. He's completed around 30 assemblies so a quick fix would be nice!!

NX Attrubute lists
I am trying to find a list of attributes that can be applied to an NX part to control its behavior.
This is difficult to explain, so I have attached an image showing what I am looking for.
In this screenshot, there is an attribute that makes sure this part can only be a component, not an assembly. This is ENFORCE_PIECE_PART.
There is also an attribute that controls if the component could be deformable. This is DEFORMABLE_PART.
What I am trying to find is a list of attributes that NX will recognise to enforce how the part behaves.

Reattach sketch
Hello experts,
as we know the cool command Reattach sketch is used to transfer sketch plan to another plan
but as you can in see below attachment( in backround ),, is there any option to move Selected sketch object to move another,,,actually i tired from error msg like in attachment,,& some times due to large sketch system not response properly
in short i wanna move some items /objects of sketch to another plan,,,
or another way to solve the problem

Internet Options that break GTAC Access?
I'm trying to access NX licenses on the GTAC site but appear to be blocked due to Windows Internet Options.
If I am already logged into GTAC, everytime I click on this link:
https://www2.industrysoftware.automation.siemens.com/LicenseManagement/Application
I get redirected back to:
http://www.plm.automation.siemens.com/en_us/support/gtac/
If I am not logged in, I get prompted for my Webkey, get logged in, and then get redirected.
A friend tried on his computer and it worked fine. I tried with both IE and chrome with the same issue.
So, I'm thinking it is some Internet Option that is blocking me but I can't find it. Any ideas? GTAC didn't have an answer.
