Hi I am nwe here. maybe you can help me. I am trying to hide layer in my part design... When I uncheck some of the layers... it does not hide the objets that I have into the actual layer.... but in the part navigator anything related to this layer goes in gray... but all my parts are still visible... I am able to hide any solid body one by one but not able with the layer settings.... And it does this with only 3 part files that I have... all the other files are ok. Any ideas ? thanks you
Not able to hide layers, please help
NX11 SKETCH GROUPS
Hi,
I have some problems with sketch groups with NX11: as soon as I group a set of curves in a Rigid Sketch group, I get the message "Sketch contains conflicting constraints". But if I look in the Sketch Relations Browser the status is ok for every constraint.
The same operation (New Sketch Group-Rigid) with the same geometry works without problems in NX10, so I think it may be something related to the new options for sketch groups (Normal, Rigid, Unique, Scalable): I cannot find any documentation about this.
I attach a file .prt with the geometry I want to group and two images, before and after grouping.
Thank you

View scale in drafting
Is there a way to add more predefined scale factors to choose them when creating views?
Reference Set in Drafting?
As Reference set can be created on part level and can be used while importing part into the assembly environment.
On part level, If I have multiple reference set and want to create drawing view with a particular reference set. Is it possible to use reference set in drafting application?
I know the other methods like visible in the view and hidden component option in view edit. Just want to ensure whether we can use reference set in drafting.
Drawing Templates and Title Blocks in NX10.0
We are using NX7.5 at the moment and want to go to NX10.0 so I want to setup new drawing templates that have the title blocks setup so that when I drag a drawing template onto my part, the fields in my title block pickup the part attributes from my part.
What is the procedure to do this.
thanks

NX 10 documentation error
Hello guys,
I am having a trouble in lauching nx 10 documentation server and i'm attaching a file and even there is problem with the graphics in drafting application, when i give the dimensions to the certain model lets say 100mm it's displaying 00 everywhere and if i'm trying to get help it's showing localhost not found..can someone help me with this and i'm using win 10 os
Multiple leaders on radius annotation in drafting, NX8.5?
Hi all,
I've been looking for a solution on how to make more than one leader on a radius annotation in drafting, but for some reason I can only get this for welding annotations and texts...
Can someone please help me on this one - is it possible to put more than one leader on a radius annotation and if so, then how??
Thanks for an interesting forum!

PMI Dimensions in JT Preview?
For TC-NX Integration
I have part with PMI dimensions created in Modeling application. When I save the part (also JT) and check the JT preview in Teamcenter, JT preview shows only 3D geomtery without PMI. Is this default expected behaviour or Is it possible to view geomtery with PMI in JT preview?
I checked this in native NX by saving the part with JT file and opened JT file in NX then it was showing the PMI also.
Dashed dimensions
Hello,
What's the best way of achieving cylindrical dimensions like such:
The bottom halve of this part is not visible on the drawing. I've created a section view that covers the full part, dimensioned the diameters and then updated the section line to only one halve of the part.
This, however, creates dashed dimensioned that aren't associative anymore.
In AutoCAD it was easy to just update the viewport to only show one halve of the cylindrical part.
Is there an easy way to do the same thing in NX?
Deselect no-sectioned component in view
Hi,
I've a view with a sectioned component. In this view I need to be sectioned. How I deselect this component ?
NX 11 without feature playback
Hello,
up until now we always told our designers to occasionally use feature playback to check if the model regenerates without a problem (Helped many times to find problems earlier).
This was especially useful when many changes were made while switching between (current) features.
In NX 11 this feature is gone and I cannot find a replacement or even information that it was removed.
Does somebody know why it was removed or better if there is a suitable replacement for this feature?
Thanks in advance.
NX9 flat pattern in NX11
Discovered an issue, when I open an NX9 part that contains a flat pattern, and then I go into drafting (same part file) and try to add the flat pattern view, it fails.
If I create a sheetmetal part from scratch in NX11, I can add the flat pattern view. I have also tried deleting the flat pattern, and recreating it in NX11, but it agian fails.
I did submit an IR, but curious if anyone else has run into this, or has thoughts on it.

XpressReview and PMI
Is is possible to view PMI information in the free XpressReview viewer? Trying to evaluate solutions for non-nx users to look at model data. I had just packed up file that included PMI, but I haven't found a way to view that information in XpressReview.
As always, thanks for your feedback.
wave linking "single entity" vs separate entity
Hello everyone,
while using the top down modelling whit lots of detailing in the top component and after linking down separate subcomponents from this master model i experienced the following:
250 bodies via one single "wave link" entity(setting in wave link creation) brought into the subcomponent (A) from master model
this one split up in 3 subcomponents (A1;A2;A3) by "wave link" as one single "wave link" entity again in each of the three
creation of wave link for component A took a few seconds
creation of wave link for comonent A1; A2; A3 took -> 20 Minutes<- each!
first time i was assuming ugraf.exe has hung up but it was working at 100% cpu core load and just taking that long to calculate
Also ANY movement of the linked wave link object in A (by using the create array from point to point e.g.) took forever to finish.
After changing the wave link settings from "create as one entity" to "create an entity for each body" the problem was solved and linking time down 10 seconds again for the same bodies.
Did anyone experience this? Why does it take so much longer?

Bolt Circle Centerline in PMI
I am creating model using PMI so that it would be completely Model Based Definition.
I have created the center marks and a centerline using commands available within PMI application as shown in the attached image of this post.
Now I want to create Bolt Circle Centerline, Its available in Drafting application. I did find such option in modeling application. One workaround will be create sketch and show it but this will not fulfill the MBD requirement.
Is there any way/command available so that I can create Bolt Circle Centerline in modeling application.
Curvy part orienting in a drawing ?
Hello
How to orient a curvy part in a drawing ?
-> On a rectangular part 1.) I click on the large plane surface of a part
and then 2.) I select a straight X-vector line from the part.
What NX 9.0: "Normal direction" and "X direction" mean in a common sense ?
They are unknown definitions to me. Are they NX only terms ?
No such things in Inventor or Pro-e or such...
Legacy Mating Conditions Vs Assembly Constraints
Need some expertise comment on Legacy Mating Conditions Vs Assembly Constraints
While exploring about assembly constraints, I read words "Leagcy Mating Conditions"
Is this the older term used for assembly constraints that we refer in current NX versions.
Can somebody elaborate if there is any other difference between mating conditions and assembly constraints?
How to get automatic day.month.year in drawing template ?
Hello
How to get automatic day.month.year in drawing template ?
How the code goes to automatically get the date from windows 7 computer and NX 9.0 ?
Drafting/Drawing template's autodate ?
