Is there a linefeed and/or carriage return control character? I have a very long part attribute (string) that I want to show in a PMI Note as a multiline text without making multiple attributes.
I know the <N> suppresses the Linefeed character, but I want the opposite.

Hi all,
I made around 400 expressions linked to a spreadsheet. If my model is copied to another computer, the directory will be changed, unless it's very very simple such as D:\Folder1\spreadsheet.xlsx, but it's not possible in some case to have just easy directory.
If someone tries to update the spreadsheet values without changing the pathing, it will crash his computer for sure (because I did once, it opened endless excel instances that made my windows 10 freeze, when I forced shut down and started again windows 10 will try to open those excel instances again, I had to manually close each excel with turtle speed)
How can I make the expression formula to locate to the folder of the NX file that contains the expression?

Using 1867 with Teamcenter. We have some occasional users that will open a drawing to make a print, or just look at something, and are complaining that the drawing won't update. In actuality, the message in the lower left is "unloaded", which depending what was done prior, the drawing may, or may not be up to date.
So, is there a customer default I can turn on, to load the component, so when they update the drawing, it actually updates?
will turning on "Load Component on View Update" do this? Help docs aren't real clear.

I am quite new to NX version 10.0.
At the moment I am interested in obtaining inertial properties of solid components. The first time yesterday I used the feature "Advanced weight Managment", there were no issues.
However, today I get the following error "Module Not Licensed: Unable to obtain an advanced assembly modelling license".
Its not clear to me why this is. Is it possible that a fellow user may have taken a license for this module. If so, how do I find this info?

If i make an annotation from Feature Parameter the result doesn't show corretly as in the command Hole Callout.
I need to use Feature Parameter because when the hole is child of a Mirror Feature the Hole Callout doesn't work.

I have a new HP Zbook laptop . Nice machine except that when booted it doesn't have numlock enabled.
I have googled solution proposal to edit the registry and set some key to 2 instead of... byt my machine has 10 digits on that key and the Microsoft rep then did not respond to that question. ( i have not yet looked at the Bios)
Is there someway i can in the start of NX force numlock to be on ? Environment variable ?
- I hate when designing something, I click a field to enter some numbers, i look down on the keypad and key in the numbers , and when i look up again on the screen , the dialog is "different" than the number i expected to see.

I am working on creating some hose assemblies for some plumbing work using NX 10, I have created the hose assembly as shwon in the below video.

But now when I add it to assembly and click select deform the model path remains intact but the stock is distorted as shown in the attached image.

It says, "For example, you can have the last modified date of the dataset appear as an attribute in the NX part file, and use it in a note on a drawing."
That is all I want to do, but I can't seem to figure it out. Does anyone know how to get the teamcenter database attribute of "last modified date" appear in the NX attributes list?
I have a complex part, and I need to remove a portion of it in order to show some machining tolerances. Usually I'm able to create a sheet body and use that and the "trim body" command to cut away the parts I do not need for this operation. Occasionally I get this error though, and I find it extremely frustrating, because it is painfully clear there is a complete intersection of the parts (the sections I need are all sticking up above the sheet body I've created).
If I reverse the direction of the "trim body" everything works fine, but this doesn't give me the bodies I need for the operation. I've tried several work-arounds, all with no success (most recently I used "extract geometry" to create 2 copies of the original body. I performed the inverse of the "trim body" I'm trying to do, and then tried to "subtract" that body from the 2nd copy, but continue to get the same error message).
This would be slightly less frustrating if NX would identify where the problem is occuring rather than just a very general comment that could apply to many areas in a part with a lot of relatively complicated geometry.

I was recently asigned wth a task to create an easy way to model wire winding around any shape. I decided to try with creating a helix and a styled sweep to intersect the shaped body, but cant get a linear spacing betwen the path. I was following this guide https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2TZtE3FNOVs (at 5:17 time stamp). I'm trying to replicate the exact model, but im having issues with the shape (picture below).
What am I missing ? Something with constraints or parameters? I'm using NX for 3 days now, so please go easy on me.

Due to complications during machining we're now trying to figure out if a modelled 3D-impeller has an equal vane thickness across the entire vane.
Is there a way to measure the thickness across the entire vane? Or perhaps show the deviation in thickness? Using the measure tool I can get a minimum distance but that won't suffice.

I am making some custom tables... but I have problems in using them.
What I do is:
I make the new tabular Note
Save as Template (directly in the UGII/table_files/ directory)
Preference-Palette-Open directory as template palette: aI point at the above dir
I can now see my new table in the palette, but when I add it tho the drawing sheet the Assembly Positioning Dialogue starts (as if I had added a reusable component).
Is it some customer defaults that I set wrong?

I am trying to apply a draft to a bannana shaped tubed, see images.
I can't get it to work at all, anyone ever applied a draft to something similar? Its the bore I need to draft, the cores will come in from either end and meet where the line is on the section view.
