Currently subtract feature in NX12 allowing us to select only one target body, Could you please suggest any feature available in NX12 for subtracting using single / multiple tool body (like tubes to make a long hole) from multiple target bodies (eg: different linked bodies) ?

Dimensions in Layout not scalled
When I create a sketch in the Layout application the dimensions not scalled at all whyle I scale view. If part is small - the part not visible because dimensions to large on screen (see pic). If part is big - dimension to small to be readable. In other application such as the Modeller the dimensions in sketcher behave beautiful. Not mess with geometry and allways readable. Obviously this is somehow customizable, but how exactly? Help me please.

EDIT TEXT COMMAND
Hi All,
I use NX 1872 Version and could not see Edit Text Command in Drafting.I know , this command had emphasis as 'to be retired' from my NX 1863 Version.
I have a question to access this command in NX 1872. Is it inside another command or we need to set any environment variable ? That's why I had read ''The command is under an environment variable and the Command Finder will not list it. If you need access to the command, please contact GTAC'' from NX Release Notes.
What can I do to access this command ?

NX Motion driver "constant" not available
Hello,
I watched some motion tutorials on youtube. Does anyone know why the driver "constant" is not available for me?
I tested this with NX 11.0.2.7 and NX 12.0.2.9

NX 12 - Creating a model template for future variants with limited flexibility
I'm trying to create a model template that can be used by future engineers for variants of the same product.
There are some dimensions captured within sketches and the 3D model that are not to be changed (or at least that must meet a criteria), and some that are flexible per the design. E.g. Some mounting points should not be moved but the height of the module can be changed.
I want to either lock out these dimensions from edit, or be able to easily verify that these features have not been modified/ or that they meet some criteria. Ideally this would be automated. Is this possible in NX? Anyone have any ideas of a smart way to do this beyond visual inspection against a drawing?

Save status of Part Navigator
Hello to all,
Durring a modeling process I offten go through the modeling tree so Make Current Feature help me to reduce time for update of complete model. I don't like NX behaviour to unhide hidden elements and their parrents always when you positionate bellow them.
In PTC Creo, there is an option „Save Status“ which memorise what is visible/hidden, so user is able to see only the features he saved in the moment no matter of moving through the design tree. Is it possible to be done in NX?
I would like to find a way how to save status of Part Navigator.
Any idea?

swept/tube along the a toolpath(spline)
Hallo experts,
I am trying to sweep or making a tube along the path but output is self-intersecting. my tube diamter is 16 mm and radius of path 4 mm. its obviously showing self intersection . Is there any way to avoid self- intersection??
Anys suggestions would be helpful.
Please guide me to useful tutorials or a solution to overcome this.

Topology Optimization: Manage Bodies does'nt recognize Materials assigned
- when NX in open through Teamcenter, Manage Body doesnt recognize the Material that has been assigned to the part
- The Part attributes clearly show that the material Steel has been assigned to the part from the Materials library
- But when NX Native is opened and a stand alone part has been created then Manage bodies recognizes the Material that has been assigned to the part.
Has someone faced a similar issue , any help or leads will be appreciated.

NX 1872 REVERSE ENGINEERING COLOR COADED REGION PROBLEM

I have a question about NX 1872. I applied Detect Primitives command and classified as color my facet body.In this step,I will apply Fit Surface Command (using Color Coaded Region feature).However,Color Coaded Region is not exist in Fit Surface Command.
What can I do to access this feature ? That's why this feature is very important for Reverse Engineering applications.Besides,I share a picture about this subject.

spline division by curvature / radius of knot point

I am trying to divide spline when it turns.
Is there any way to divide curve by curvature of spline or something radius of curve along the path??

NX CAE Stress Wizard - Teamcenter
Hello all,
Currently I am trying to configure my NX 11 Stress Wizard with Teamcenter in order to create a new simulation with a new Item ID, related to the derived CAD models Item ID.
Existing CAD Part: Item ID 0016606
Current behaviour:
New CAE Simulation (CAEAnalysis): Item ID 0016607
New FEM (CAEModel): Item ID 0016608
My intention is the following naming for the Stress Wizard parts:
Desired CAE Simulation (CAEAnalysis): Item ID 0016606.sim1
Desired FEM (CAEModel): Item ID 0016606.fem1
At customersite I have already seen this naming pattern but could not locate this modifications neither in BMIDE nor in TC Preferences / NX Customer Defaults.
In the NX Customer Defaults you can find a similar pattern for the creation of CAE files (which will not influence the current creation behaviour of Stress Wizard parts):
Which modifications need to be done in order to get an CADPARTID".sim"N / CADPARTID".fem"N - pattern?

How to save PTS to use it in another part file
Hello,
any idea how can I save my PTS into Reuse library in NX 12?
I made a body as always and then I opened PTS Author. I defined dimensions and I also added a drawing file that is connected with my template. The template works perfect in the part file and also drawings change automatically.
However, I need to save this Template (the whole body with a drawing) in a Reuse Library to use it many times with different dimensions in an another part file.
I tried to do it with a menu/tools/reuse library definition, but I can definieren only a body, Sketch,.... It means, that I save only the body without any possibility to change dimensions.

Code to Generate Date
Hello Everyone,
I'm interested in writing an expression that keeps track of the date so I can just write it into a tabulated cell in my border once and always have the current date. I found an expression on here a few weeks ago however it doesn't automatically update or refresh. The way that I have been getting it to work is by erasing a character in formula 42 then typing the same character back in. This defeats the purpose! Can I do something differently to make the code update day to day on it's own?

Part list problem
Hello,
usually we create part lists in TCE. Now I have the case where the API is requires a part list on the drawing. The problem is, that no one really can help me with creating part lists on dawings.
Please see my structure in NX in pic: part list 1.jpg that i would like to have on my drawing. I tried a lot of things (like sort and edit levels and so on) and reserach in google to get that structure on my drawing without any success.
Can someone help?
