Hi!
I am modeling a flexible tube that I will use a deformable object within an NX assembly.
My tube can bend in a circle but cannot grow or shrink. It is defined by one flex angle. I would like to create the tube using two lines at angle to the horizon (the flex angle) a curve by three points (see attached) and a perimeter length dimension. The problem is, when the tube is straight (and the flex angle is 0), that circle has infinite radius and cannot be created - I think.
Alternatively, I can create a two sketches, one for a straight tube and one for a flexing tube. I can use suppression-by-expression to supress the three point circle sketch. The problem here is that when I add the part as a deformable part in a parent assembly, NX throws an error that one of the features in the body is not there.
Can anyone recommend a better way to do this?
