Spline read points from file

Hello experts

I need to create spline curves through some hundred points. The points data is represented in *.dat format. With the retired “Spline” function on former versions this was a quick task to complete:
Spline – through points – points from file – done!

Now working on NX 12 I learnt that points (*.dat – format) can be read with Import – Points from File. Ok so far. But with Studio Spline I have to click these hundreds of points all individually to create one spline! I can’t believe that this is a progress.

And yes, I know that I could still use the “old” Spline function. But if a function gets flagged “retired” or “legacy” I want to believe the there is something smarter to be used instead. I just haven’t found out what that could be.

Is there any solution to read many points at a time and have a spline created right away?
