I recently switched from NX 9 to NX11, and I can no longer import .stp/.step files. One of two things happens; either it appears to translate properly (log window pops up, shows it's importing and appears to finish without an error), but then the body doesn't show up OR NX throws an exception "Error- unhandled UG exception caught. with the following message <Standard C++ exception caught. See system log for details>."
I asked my administrator about it, and he said it's a known bug. His only current work around is to import the part though NX9 (which I still have installed), save it externally as a .prt file, create an item in Teamcenter, import the NX9 file into teamcenter, then open that file with NX11.
I read somewhere else that this might be related to my NVIDIA graphis card, but I tried updating drivers, etc to no avail. Is this a known issue or is there a fix?
