Who uses Siemens NX for modeling?

I've spent this past school year learning Siemens NX 9.0 since it was offered at my school. Prior to that my knowledge was just in solidworks and a bit of Rhino. I found NX to be great for surface modeling and a bit easier to understand than solidworks. Also it was very easy to render in keyshot you could just import the part, vs solidworks you need to assign different colors to the parts prior to saving the modeling an importing; to edit the seperate parts in keyshot (perhaps there's an easier way?).

However when I applied to internships not a single company had heard of NX as a modeling program, as a result I'm kind of questioning, why I spent a year of my time learning it if no one uses it. The company I am working for solely uses Creo, which I have no knowledge of an am having a hard time learning on my own. Should I focus my attention back on using solidworks, as I've heard that's the industry standard. Thanks
