NX 12 Assembly constraint behavior

Hello,  I'm wondering if there's any way to change the behavior of components when they're being assembled.  More specifically, is there a way to reflect in the main window that there's a big mess being made in the Constraint Navigator?

More specific...  I just assembled several components and created patterns and foolishly only looked at how the components were being assembled in the main window.  It looked like everything was going in place just fine and I was able to create the component patterns and everything seemed to be OK......  Until I switched to the Constraint Navigator and saw there there was red splashed up all over the screen.

From the Constraint Navigator, it was obvious that the component placement was a failure; but it looked great in the main window.  I guess I'm used to other CAD softwares that won't let the components be placed if there are problems.  That may be irritating at first, but it sure saves a lot of time in the long run.  I'd much prefer to have to fix problems as they happen as opposed to fixing the problems of several failed component tries after 10 or 20 components have been "placed/assembled".  I guess the lesson learned is to primarily watch the Constraint Navigator tree and only use the actual main display as a secondary reference.

It would have been very helpful and save a lot of time if there would be a visual indication in the main window if there's a problem.  Again, hopefully I'm just doing something wrong or don't know about a setting I can change in the Customer Defaults or other places settings can be done.  Is there something I can change?  I definitely don't know everything with NX 12 and would be very glad to hear that I'm just making a mistake.... that can be changed.  Thanks
