Blend surfaces are secondary or tertiary surfaces in a model. Sometimes they are extremely complex. I noticed in some Alias tutorials that, sometimes they spent a lot of time in building high quality blend surfaces with common surfacing tools, but not blending tools. Is this a general practice for Class A?
In some of my projects, there are no definite requirements for blend surfaces. In the example below, the heavy AFB surface seems to be unacceptable. Maybe I should reconstruct the blend patch by patch to achieve a light one? This seems to be a big challenge.
Hope to know how you veterans decide whether a blend surface is acceptable or not, and what kind of workflow you use to imporve it. Thanks!
