associativeness of X-Form

When "Associatve Freeform Editing" is ON, X-Form is an associative operation listed under Model History. But it involves only manual dragging surface poles, does not accept any explicit value inputs for the movement, and has no editable parameters listed under "Details".

Q:

How does NX assotiate the resulting surface with its parent?

Would NX convert the manual dragging into a relative change (3d values) in 3D position for a modified pole?

Are the statements below correct?

  • If I drag a pole at (1,2,3) to a free position (2,3,4), X-Form would record only the relative change (+1,+1,+1).
  • If I snap-drag a pole at (1,2,3) to a fixed existing point at (2,3,4), X-Form would record only the coincidence between the pole and the existing point.

Thanks!
