Assigned Role?

I'm new to NX and have a couple of basic questions about assigning a role.

1.  If I assign a Role to myself (such as Essentials or Advanced), is that indicated anywhere?  In other word, if I'm not sure what Role is currently assigned, is there any way to tell?

2.  Once a Role is assigned, does NX remember that, or do I needed to reassign the Role each time I run NX?
