I have a planar spline (brown) created in the early stage in my model. It has 3 segments. Now I want to refine it to one segment while keeping its original shape roughly.
I did the job like this:
- create a new sketch
- project the original spline to the sketch (non-associative)
- edit the projection spline (blue/green) to 1 segment directly (here the original shape is lost)
- drag the poles of the projection spline (blue/green) to approach the original spline (brown).
Sometimes the last step is very painful when the original curve is complex (e.g. with 9 poles).
